I'm awake and ready to hit my next destination: Florence. I sometimes feel like I'm on the Amazing Race! Rushing from one location to the next, competing in challenges and makibg my way through the crowds of people.
The train was smooth and some beautiful scenery as we passed through the little towns. The forecast is rain all day in Florence. Sigh! I'm hoping it is not so bad. I think I'll get the Firenze Pass which gives me access to several museums and to the tram and bus for 3 days!! I already bought a Florence sight seeing pass. I also want to go to Pisa and Sienna. I have lots to cover in 4 days.
I arrived and found my accommodation with no problems. The room is small but great and there is a kitchen in this hostel so I can make some food!! I'll find a grocery store later.
I strolled around and came across several great buildings. I put up the pictures for all to see. The names wi be added later. As you can probably tell I'm tired. Walking for several hours in the rain, aimlessly does that to you!! Tomorrow I am going to do one of the site seeing tour buses. I bought the ticket when I booked my trains so it's all ready to go. I am worried I won't see everything I'd like.
I found a grocery store about 20 minutes away. I picked up a few things to last me for the time I'm here. It's definitely a cost savings. I spent less that 12€. I ate some dinner, planned a bit for the next few days and now I'm going to head to bed.
