Well I managed a good nights' sleep last night after my very lovely Irish Coffee from Sheila the owner of the B&B where I am staying. Sheila was kind enough to come and pick me up from the airport at Shannon (about 7 miles from here). My flights were good (and long). I had a 6 hour lay over in London which was good because I needed to change airports. Heathrow and Stansted are a very long way apart!
Today I jumped right into it and went on a tour of the Cliffs of Moher including Poulnabrone Tomb (dating to 3,800 BC) and some of the most stunning landscapes that I have seen. There are castles and ruins everywhere. We didn't drive more than a couple of KM's and there was another castle to see dating from the 14th or 15th century.
Food highlights of the day were black pudding at breakfast (only one bite but I did try it) and Irish Stew for dinner.
