We had a late morning where we packed up out suitcases and had breakfast. Veronika, Merina, Sean, John and I took a walk over to a nearby gas station to get some money from an ATM. But we were all packed and ready to leave by 10. It was about a 3 hour drive out there. We stopped half way at a market to shop, and then food. The market was amazing. It was actually very big and packed full of stalls. The merchants were amazing at selling things. They were extremely nice, which is something I've never seen from street vendors before, but very persistent. I did some very good haggling on my part and got a couple small things. It's going to be our only shopping until Cape Town, I'm sure. Some people apparently had a very hard time saying 'no', or haggling. We had to drag some of the group away from merchants just to get them on the bus to get to lunch. Lunch was just a in a little fast food place with two options: burgers or chicken wrap. It was a short stop and not very fulfilling, but we were happy to get back on the bus and head out to the ranch.
Our hotel isn't that great because it's kind of dated and apparently doesn't really have wifi (and its down for the whole day today and we're not in an area that gets good cell coverage either). It's a giant ring of rooms, and unfortunate, when dragging our bags to our rooms, we went the wrong was around the ring. I'm rooming with Emily, Cosette and Jojo. After getting our stuff into the rooms and unpacking a little, we all went down to the pool in the middle. I didn't go in because it was apparently freezing cold and the people from our group who did go in couldn't spend more than a few minutes. But just sitting on the deck was nice. We didn't have anything planned for the rest of the day, just free time. So, we went back to the room to play some card games and relax. We did have a bit of a rehearsal before supper, but that was alright. Still just free time after supper, but we had to go to bed early so we could get up early for our game drive tomorrow. We just played cards in our room that evening, and Veronika was so excited she won a round she screamed, which was hilarious. Then to bed. The shower sucks though because it's either freezing cold or too hot to stand under.
