Tuesday - Today was Halloween. I went out the Grace, Marie and Atitu. We went around the neighbourhood. I was the night sky and they were witches. We got lots of candy and I ate most of it. 

Mum was off in Dunedin early this morning, so dad and I got up late. We decided to go to the royal show. When we got out of the car there were miniature horses parading around an arena. We walked a little further and saw ponies, horses, and Clydesdales. There were bagpipers and goats. Goats of all shapes and sizes. I must have gotten 100,000,000 points in goats. We saw kids parading cows around a paddock. Sheep were everywhere eating all the grass. Then we went ...

After we left the motel with only two seats, we drove around looking for the PA (means a village of the Maori) but we couldn't find it. So we drove to Shakespeare village and it was very cloudy that day but when got up the mountain we saw it was very clear. We walked on a path that went to a transmission tower. Then we saw the other mountains above the clouds. We drove to a info place and saw a pretend kiwi and then lunch in New Plymouth and home. 

We went out to look at who woke us up at 7:00am. Then after a swim in the pool we headed out to Pukeiti gardens. We looked at all the rhododendrons as we walked on a sidewalk made of grass. We walked on a guided tour and saw a hollow Rata tree. Then we saw a waterwheel and a damn. After we had left the gardens we found a beach with lots of paua shells. Mum disected a paua shell with a baked thing in it. Then we saw another beach. We only got ice cream while we w...

This long weekend we went to Taranaki. We stopped at a winery and then went down to a beach with boulders to sit on. We ate out lunch on the boulders as a dog passed by. We found a hotel and our apartment was right next to a pool. From the hot tub there was a little water fall. We walked to a stream where there was a lawn to bowl on. I went on the beach and sat in a twig teepee. Then a buffet. We stayed in New Plymouth.
