Last night we had our birthday meal out at the stratosphere tower rotating restaurant. 1150 feet up the US's tallest observation tower, we watched the sunset and the lights come on over Vegas. Check out the timelapse on my page :)
The meal was lovely, very expensive, but worth every penny for the view. The staff were really nice, even getting me a champagne bucket to balance my camera on to do my timelapse video.

Today we took a pink jeep tour to the valley of fire. It's not called that for nothing, it hit 129 degrees in the week, luckily for us, about 110 today.
Our guide was called Todd, an ex sheriff and a very interesting person to talk to. What he didn't know about the surrounding area wasn't worth knowing.
We had a few stops at various locations around the national park. My highlight today was photographing a desert hare. I think I have a good shot for my portfolio so I'm really happy. We also saw turkey vultures, but they were soaring so high, it was tricky to get photos.
We got lots of photos of the pretty coloured rocks and formations, plus the petroglyphs.
This afternoon we finally took a break and settled by the pool for a couple of hours before heading to Fremont Street,
Fremont street is amazing! It's all under cover and roof is millions of led's, playing music videos and visual stuff, it's an amazing atmosphere.
We stopped for dinner, I has ribs. They really know how to do ribs here. I don't normally eat them at home, but here they are really good!
We got back real late, it's about 2am now.
Up the Eiffel Tower tomorrow!
