We were all up early once more (its a theme on the Galapagos) and after a brief breakfast got in a taxi to the north ready for scuba diving at Gordon Rocks. The dive site is famous for its schools of hammerhead sharks so we had high expectations. We were all up early again for our boat trip to San Cristobal. It was just over a 2 hour journey again and I did a very good job of sleeping most of the way. Once we arrived in port we were greeted by a splattering of sea lions that were littering the waterfront. We were soon ushered onto a bus and taken to the first location for snorkelling. Mathilde and I were up early ready for Isla Bartolome. Unfortunately a mix up the day before meant Carly could no longer come with us, so she went to Floreana instead. It was just over a 2 hour speed boat ride to Bartolome and despite the rather bumpy ride I managed to sleep for most of it. However, I woke up to see a huge pod of dolphins around the boat. There were roughly 100 in total and Mathilde and I had the best seat in the house at the front of the boat....

We arrived at Floreana mid-morning and jumped straight into a bus to visit another tortoise centre. This one was a lot different though and the tortoises were free to roam in a semi-natural habitat. The tortoises on this island were incredibly endangered so they are being looked after at the centre, until the population recovers and they can be let loose once more. We were up early ready for our 2 hour boat ride to Isabella. We were greeted at the port by a sealion sleeping in one of the boats and a marine iguana on the rocks - the first sign of the famous wildlide. After another bag inspection we hit the water with Mathilde, Carly and Tito. It wasn´t long before I spotted a turtle surfacing but the rest of the journey was spent trying to contain our excitement.
