A rather uneventful day, i arrived back in EL Calafate around 10.30am and checked back into I Keu Ken hostel. The day was spent packing my rucksack ready for the 3 day Torres Del Paine trek. The 'W' trek is meant to be completed in 4-5 days but seeing as i signed up to the Navimag boat trip which leaves on Monday (today is Thursday) it means me and Evan have limited time to complete the trek.
After asking anyone and everyone that had some idea about Torres Del Paine how realistic it was to complete the trek in this time (with mixed responses) i headed to the shops to stock up on smash, chocolate and cereal bars. Evan wasn't due to arrive in town until 9.30pm so i was doing the shop for both of us. After i indulged in some fruit, as it will be the last i have for a few days and headed into town to the internet cafes to try and get on top of everything. I missed the cambio to exchange my money into Chilean pesos which meant that Evan and I would be heading to Torres Del Paine without a tent, and unsure if we can rent one, Evan without a sleeping bag, and neither of us with any of the local currency - so far so good.
That evening Evan and Thomas arrived back from El Cheltan and we went to a decent restaurant for my last bife de chorizo (steak) in Argentina. The plan was to get an early night before the 5.30am bus ride to Torres but when i was still packing my bag at 12.30am that plan didn't seem to come to fruition as i had hoped.
Early the next day Evan and I got on the bus and got to the Chilean border where fortunately there was a cambio even though there was no other sign of people around for miles and miles around and we arrived in Torres Del Paine around midday.
