Hi Tom,
Understand that you had a great birthday and celebrated in style. Photographs are splendid and highly entertaining, although I must say - 'rather you than me' in the jungle. Great news about the university place. Weather picking up here and Gary's arm is not fit enough to try his golf swing again before his golfing break in France in June. Sat nav ('tom tom' by the way!) works except in Cambridge where it send you around in a circle, also it is unable to accurately count the exits on roundabouts (numeracy needs). Enjoy Australia and don't forget to wear your snake boots !!!! (Again - 'rather you than me' - definately no photos please!!).

Hi Tom, just been reading these messages, apologies for missing your birthday - hope you had a good un. The Malaysia pictures are fantastic - especially the Petronas Towers at night! When you get back you'll have to sort out some weather pics for Chatmosphere!
Enjoy Bali!

Hey boys... hope you are going well. Managed to avoid the cyclones so far - I think northern Australia will be in blown to shreds before you get there! What is your plan for Australia? Got any dates for flights round the country? Tassie is as marvellous as always, but a little cooler than Bali I'd say. Last week we did a walk on the west coast and discovered an old town - abandoned 80 years ago and now covered in rainforest. Very beautiful! Email us and let us know what your plans are! Hi Tom,
can't believe that it is nearly April; finally managed to sit down and write something at last!! We have been following you all the way - I even have some of your photos on the office wall. Nice job with that camera - keep them coming. As you may have heard whilst you have been exploring the world Gary has been exploring different operations in hospital (how many he could fit into one month to be exact!). He managed to sever the main tendon in his right arm playing badminton and then they found that he needed tumours removing from his neck. Don't worry he is 'A okay' now but has a centipede type scar on his arm and something like half a cut-throat scar to his neck - beats tatoos I guess. Just an excuse to not wear a shirt and tie and stay in tee-shirts forever!
It's quite interesting when I read your comments about your journeys off the beaten track it reminds me of my daily treks around the East Midlands region - especially Lincolnshire (there was a road closed last week - no diversion signs and I ended up in a turnip field in the pouring rain!). Leceister city centre isn't much better - roads are complete chaos there! To compensate they have just issued us with some sat nav equipment, not at all sure how I shall get along with it, but I shall let you know. Been in the company of your Mum, Dad, Grandma and Carol this weekend at the nursing home with Aunty Nora. Bit of an all night meet-up, I am sure that your Mum will fill you in when you speak to her. Take care and enjoy the relaxation on the beaches. Thinking of you. Love Trish and Gary
