Hello all, at the min we are in Melacca a little Historical town about an hour south of Kuala Lumpur. The town holds a lot of history as it was owned first by Portugal, then taken over by the Dutch and then by the British before claiming independance in 1957. Yesterday we went on a mini tour of Melacca, first we went to a fort that got damaged during the war with the dutch and then a replica of the sultans palace. This was really nice except they had a load of life like statues which really freaked me out, and they looked like they were once alive......We then visited a few museums, and finished our day walking through China town to a mall that does not exist??????
We came here from Kuala Lumpur (hence the pic). We found it to be a lot like Hong Kong although not nearly as busy. Here we went to the twin towers on the 11th of the 9th. This only become entertaining when some guy asked to use the toilet and was told he would have to wait for the rest of the group in order to go down in the lift, he then proceeded to poo himself (he said he had food poisening).....
Next we are off to the south of Malaysia for a few nights, so we will update again soon.
lots of love Nikki and Tom
xXx
