Well here is the first one. Set off from Heathrow on Monday night after traveling down with Mum Dad Nick Sue and of course Zo. After much concern about who we were flying with, many thanks to the Customer Services team at work, we arrived in Bangkok via India. Settled in quickly and set off for the streets of Bangkok. Has not changed since I was here 3 years ago, still very busy, hot and a strong smell of fried noodles in the air. We had our first go at put our feet in a tank full of fish, very similar to home but what seemed a lot more fish. Soon settled in with some Pad Thai from a street stall and more importantly a Chang! One disappointment was my rediculously expensive back pack has broke already, one of the main clips has snapped off...should be able to persevere.
On our first whole day we set off to the Grand Palace, after much hassle from the tuk tuk drivers we finally found one who would take us straight there and not to get get some 'free for one day only' fuel first. There was some sort of ceremony in the grounds so we couldnt enter until midday, so we were able to book our ticket to the north. The palace grounds we absolutley stunning (the photo attached is taken in the grounds), as was the palace itself.
Anyway running out of time now on the computer. Also very hot in the room and struggling to contain the sweat dripping from my nose to the keyboard as there is no air con.
