New South Wales Baby! Im finally out of fu**ing Queensland! Ohhhhhh its been along time coming but im so happy to be away. We set of from Surfers Paradise early yesterday morning as i had to go and see the police before i left Queensland, and thankfully the drive down was only about 90 minutes so we arrived in Byron Bay at a good time for a change. We got here about 1pm i think and headed straight to the campsite to book in for the night, which is weird for us as we normally arrive everywhere at night when it is pitch black so obviously its been difficult setting up a tent in those conditions, haha. Byron is beautiful, alot cooler than up in Tropical North Queensland though! Last night was the first time i had to wear my coat since being in Melbourne last April! After we got everything set up at the campsite we headed down to the beach to check out the surf, and the women................ :) Both were fantastic. We took a walk along the beach and went up a big set of steps which took us to a really beautiful look out point where you could see the whole coastline. Byron is the most eastern point of Australia. After the beach i took a walk through town, and decided to send a few emails, and noticed that some people are real bas*ards at replying, but after my lethargic attempts over recent weeks i cant really comment! Took a stroll down to the bottle shop and bought some BUDWEISER!, finally a decent tasting beer, none of this vile Aussie s**t! Grabbed a bag of ice for the esky to keep everything nice and chilled. Got back to the caravan park about 6pm and sat and put my feet up and cracked open a bevy, the wind was ridiculously cold so i had to wrap up a bit warmer. Attempted to make dinner with our cooking equipment but the can of Butane gas decided to set on fire and we nearly blew up the campsite, thankfully no one was hurt. Kind of decided against dinner for a few hours as i was to comfortable to move, but when hunger struck i had had to many beers, we did make it to the camp kitchen where we cooked up a concoction of pasta and sausages which very surprisingly tasted very good! By the time we got back to the tent i was virtually sleep walking so i just got straight in to bed. 3 hours later i was woken by loud noises, crazy s**t, it was absolutely pi**ing down with rain. My book, my phone and a few other belongings were on the floor outside but i guess i just was not man enough to brave the fierce weather front and salvage my stuff, so i turned over and went back to sleep. I woke up again 30 minutes later as my feet were like ice blocks, confused and dazed, i looked around and realised the tent was not shut properly and all the rain was in the tent, f**k it went back to sleep again. Woke up at 6am this morning, its quite funny really when you are staying in caravan parks everyone who stays in the tents are always up first because by 6am the temperature is soaring! Its quite heart breaking then seeing everyone come out of there air conditioned cabins a few hours later! Got cleaned up nice and early though and thought it was a good opportunity to clean out the car, so thats what i did. Just gone in to town for an hour now to send a few emails and pick up some breakfast. Driving down to Coffs Harbour at lunch time..................... Good Stuff!
