Hey Guys,
Well we've now left the sunny sites of Australia and we're now in New Zealand.... and loving every minute of it. We hired an Ezy camper to get us round for the 5 weeks, of which we are now half way through, some intense driving on my part, as I've now must have done more driving on foreign soil. It's an auto so feels like driving a go-cart not really driving. I hit an eagle on the second day's driving, which was a great start, Â (how many point do I get for that?) gotta watch out for them, they seem to be more interested in munching on the road kill than getting out of the way.
We've pretty much covered the South Island now and we're catching the ferry over to the North island on Sunday. Hopefully it is just as amazing as the South island has been. New Zealand is very much like England but with loads of stunning country side, and mountains, lakes etc a bigger and better than we have. Even the drives from place to place have been stunning. When we drove back from Milford Sound we were waiting at some traffic lights (which changed every 15 mins)and were surrounded by water falls on all sides, unfortunatley the battry on the camera had run out by then, it doesn't seem to like the cold!!!
We went wale watching yeaterday which was an amazing trip. We managed to see 3 wales come up for air and the dive back down again. I managed to film the last one diving down and flipping his tail up. They are stunning mamals, and as a brucy bonus we saw 2 pods of blue bottle nose dolphins.
Keep in touch peeps, we'll be seeing you all in a couple of months time.
