wow!!!!! and just when thought our fraser island trip was so special, we followed it up with an absolutely amazing three day sail around the whitsunday islands. could not believe it was real, always believed the postcards were super imposed. the whole sailing adventure made for an unforgettable and exciting trip, something we have never experienced before (thank you john for the recommendation).

we set out the first day from airlie marina as we hoisted the masts for the first time, tom grinding up the sails. our first stop, blue pearl bay for a snorkel session - check out the sexy stinger suits! amazing colours of coral and fish - just couldn't get over how close they swam around us. spoilt really as this was only the second time tom had ever snorkelled. jumped back aboard for our tea, cakes and biscuits. the hot cup of tea providing the essential warmth, those lycra suits (although flattering) do not provide much warmth out of the water! we then set off around the islands, taking in the views and soaking up the sun. nara inlet provided our anchorage point for a good night. a great group of people on board made for a wicked first night playing loads of drinkin games. check out the pics from the 'crack-pot' game...just don't look too closely! great games we'll have to bring home.

second day followed much the same, more islands and chance to snorkel once again with the beautiful fish. part of our sail gave us a chance to jump on land and take a walk over to whitehaven beach and the lookout point...breathtaking! just check out the pics, don't think we need to say much more.

anyway, we're back on dry land now and still rockin side to side. taking a coach up the coast early monday as we head to magnetic island to see what more we can find and experience up there.
