Jet lag hit us one more time Friday after Andrea came home from work. We slept for another 3-4 hours electing to stay home for the evening. Bakki, Salih's brother, came to dinner. It was fun talking to him again. Bakki works for Microsoft here in Istanbul.
Take out/delivery food is different here. They have a service on the Internet where you place your order which can be from a number of different restaurants. One spot with hundreds of restaurants. You can order a hamburger from McDonalds, Chinese food from another restaurant, and dessert from a local bakery. The service then contacts each restaurant separately, places your order, and the restaurants deliver separately. If this service ever came to America, someone will make a fortune.
We awoke Saturday morning feeling better. We have a river cruise up and down the Bosphorus scheduled for today along with some other general sightseeing. I am anxious to be out and about. The temperature is 75 and sunny.
Mary is doing a load of my laundry before we leave. Pretty soon my undies will be hanging out in the balcony with all the neighbors. I feel like a real native!
