Nous poursuivons notre découverte de ce bout du monde par une rando à travers le parc naturel à l'ouest d'Ushuaia. Nous empruntons le chemin cotier qui nous emmenera 6 heures et 16 kms plus tard au bout du bout du bout de l'Argentine.
Aujourd'hui, c'était une promenade à travers différentes iles du canal de Beagle, nous permettant de revoir des lions de mer, des cormorans et le fameux phare des Eclaireurs (le phare le plus au sud). Sur ce bateau, le capitaine avec qui nous sympathisions a meme proposé à Popo de prendre le volant pour aller jusqu'au phare, puis c'est Nono qui a repris la barre sur le retour. Mais il est inconscient ce capitaine... Eh bien tenir le cap n'est pas évident. Pour ma part (Popo) la trajectoire ressemblait à celle d'un alcoolique (zigzags).
C'est ici que s'achève les aventures de Popo & Nono. Après avoir traversé l'Amérique du Sud ensemble, nous fetons nos 30 ans d'amitié à Ushuaia: la fin du monde, la fin d'un cycle mais aussi le début d'une nouvelle ère certainement pour nous deux.
Merci à tous ceux qui nous ont laissé des messages et commentaires. Cela nous a fait plaisir de partager ces moments avec vous. Nous reprenons l'avion pour Buenos Aires demain, puis dimanche retour vers l'Europe.

We carry on exploring Ushuaia & its surroundings with a trek in the national park of Tierra del Fuego. A 6-hour walk later or about 16 kms, we are at the very very end of argentina, we can't go any further!
That was yesterday... today at last the boat trip in the Beagle Channel is maintained so we manage to get on it! & it's such a nice ride, exploring the islands of the channel & visiting our friends the elephant seals & cormorants & their other mates. We sail up to the Eclaireurs lighthouse (famous because it's the furthest east lighthouse). On the boat, the captain is very chatty & friendly & offers to miss Popo to drive the boat & capt Nono is navigating on the way back. Err I think the captain is a bit mad to let us drive... But it's a good laugh, even though it feels like we've drunk too much Beagle beer!
This is where the adventures of Popo & Nono end. After travelling all over South America together, we are celebrating a friendship of 30 years in Ushuaia: the end of the work, the end of a cycle, but also the beginning of a new era for both of us...
