San Pedro de Alcántara and Puerto Banús San Pedro de Alcántara, referred to locally as San Pedro, is a town of 2 personalities. It's a traditional Spanish town, with a very a long beach. The town and beach are separated from each other by a main road - and a 10 minute walk. Just 10km from Marbella and even closer to the ritzy Puerto Banus, this long sandy stretch of beach and promenade stretches all the way to Marbella…..a great ch...

Arrived in EsteponaIt was an easy transfer from Gran Canaria to Estepona in southern Spain. Another shout out to Ryan Air, who despite all the current airline problems throughout the world, once again managed to efficiently get passengers on the plane, take off and land on time (actually early) and quickly have luggage on the carousel. Telde - and goodbye Gran Canaria Our last out of town trip was to Telde - the 2nd most populous city on this island. Although the city is less than 20 km from the capital of Las Palmas, like many other places here, it takes a bit of effort to get there on the bus. Telde is actually a municipality in the east of the island and has quite a few beaches, which are a big tourist attraction - but we were interested in the city itself and it didn't disappoint…....

Puerto de Mógan Puerto de Mógan is approximately 1/3 way up the western side of Gran Canaria. By bus, it took over 90 mins from our home base in Playa de Arinaga….. on the highway it takes about 45 mins by car to travel the 54 kms. La Canteras beach, Las Palmas Las Palmas is two very different and separate cities. On this day trip we travelled to the area of Santa Catalina, ending our bus ride at the second terminus, which is almost 4km further north of where we last disembarked at San Telmo.
