Waiting in transit to board for New York! No upgrade to business, but flight ok. We have Premium Economy and there's extra leg room and space, even managed 4 hours sleep. A few rough spots during the night but clear day in Hong Kong. What to do on a 16 hour flight? Sleep, eat, read....maybe watch a movie.....yeh for holidays!

Packed. A busy day with the morning at the doctors.....yes....the toe is broken and is now strapped! The walking holiday has just had a change of direction and pace; time to rest sipping lattes, time to take in the sights, time to just relax! I am hoping Cathay may upgrade us to Business Class (nice to dream) so I can rest my foot before we hit the streets of New York!

Haven't even left Australia before I succumbed to my first injury! While I was wondering what walking shoes to take for New York, I managed to stub my toe! Ouch. Now I am wondering if I will be able to walk:) It looks like sandles will be packed after all!

Enjoying quality time with Charlie who is totally unaware of the impending holiday! How will he survive without me? Who will give him his morning treat, brush his coat, and be totally wrapped around his little paw? Mmmmm.....I think Charlie will train Laura in a day! A well pampered pooch will always survive his owners desertion for a house sitter who will feed him, take him for a walk and give him treats!

Visa confirmed! Flights booked! Accommodation checked! Tours decided! Only one week at work......and I am off to "time in the usa"!!!
