Have spent our first week settling in and exploring the local area.
On arrival we stayed with the Higgins family (recruitment agency) for a week.....we were very well looked after and they are the most hospitable family. John even took us to the Rugby, courtesy of his nephew who is a local referee.
The Higgins' took us to see Raglan, our future home, and we stopped at the local waterfall (Bridal Veil Falls) -spectacular and hidden within the rain forest.
After purchasing the 'space wagon' we went on to explore more of the area, Including;
Our local 'black sand' world renowned surfing beach.
Cambridge; a small town famous for horse breeding that prides itself on 'superloos'!!
Hamilton City, where our work is based has a lot to offer; So far we have tested local cafe's, explored the gardens and done the time warp!
Tonight is our second night in our luxorious hospital accommodation. We thought this a good time to start the blog as we begin work tomorrow.
Check out the corresponding album for some of our highlights.

Bels and Wing Commander Rez (or so he thinks) Hey Guys! Sounds like you're settling in very well and are being looked after. Not much to report on here other than Rez has been promoted so he's pulling rank all the time, very funny...not! My brother Phil and Liz used this blog when they went away and he got it printed for her for their anniversary after their 9 months travelling, she loved it, tears all round, so it'll be great to have it printed. Plus you get all the comments printed so you'll have all my nonsense to look forward to. Anything you need, crave or whatever don't hesitate to let me know, and i can send it to you. Lots of love. xxx
Tree x x Great to hear you are settling in well. I am so jealous, it sounds great!
