A relatively short drive today which completed our coast to coast. We went via the Cape Cross fur seal colony and along the Skeleton Coast to Swakopmund. The seal colony is the largest in Africa and we got to witness the others and young ones rolling all over one another, barking and surfing waves. It was a great way to be introduced to the African Atlantic coast.
Swakopmund is a port town that is also now a tourist centre as it provides a step off point for many adrenaline activities relates to the sand dunes which start just south of the river that the town gets it's name from.
We enjoyed wandering around real shops, drinking coffee, eating cake, meandering the waterfront and watching a seal frolic at the end of the jetty.
We all et back up for dinner at a nearby restaurant where Vikki had an oryx steak whilst Tessa had a kudu one. Both delicious!
