My 12 hour flight to Singapore was relatively painless, considering I slept for 9 hours of it! It's been a pleasant 6 hour wait in Singapore Airport. Although the constant assault of Christmas music has become a bit much. I witnessed something I thought was rather strange earlier. What can only be described as a Mariachi band, riding around on the back of an airport golf buggy playing yet more Christmas songs. I'm only sorry I didn't get a picture. I'm ashame...

Just arrived at Sydney Airport. I managed to sleep for half of the flight, but the other half was restless and uncomfortable. I am pleased however that I finally managed to finish my book 'Before I go to Sleep' which is a brilliant and clever thriller that I can highly recommend. I'm now starting 'The Passage'. So it turns out that Australia is by far the strictest country I have entered. When I left Singapore, after clearing customs my bags were again checked at the gates and my water was confiscated, which I was pretty pissed off about considering its an 8 hour flight and they barely give you a drop on board.
