Well folks, we're getting itchy feet again. It must be time for a new adventure. This time we'll be going on an Outback safari from Brisbane to Darwin by campervan. There are 4 camper vans in our group so looks like a bit of fun. Follow along and enjoy the journey with us.

Day 96 - Sat 23 Jun - Tauranga to Ngatea We didn't get away till nearly 11am this morning but had an uneventful trip home. It's good to be here - but it won't be long before we get itchy feet and start planning the next adventure.

Day 94 - Thu 21 Jun - Mount Maunganui to Tauranga What a long drive this morning - 8km! We found no room at Sulphur Point so parked at Marine Park which is quite close to the port. This was a handy spot to drive over to Fraser Cove for lunch at other friends' newly renovated home. What a great spot they have there with a view over towards the causeway to Welcome Bay. Day 92 - Tue 19 Jun - Ngongataha to Mount Maunganui The road up to Tauranga was winding and very rough in places and we got in a queue behind a very slow vehicle - 45km up the hills with clouds of smoke from its exhaust. Day 91 - Mon 18 Jun - Waikite Valley to Ngongataha We had time for another soak this morning - so nice with no-one else there. Campers are allowed in from 6am and the pools are open to the public from 10am so plenty of time to get in before then. We got away just before the 11am checkout and arrived at Ngongataha just before lunch. It rained most of the way but cleared during the afternoon.
