We had asked around trying to see how to get to Kanchanburi .they said we would have to take the bus all the way to Bangkok then catch a train or bus backto Kanchanburi.that seemed ridiculous to us. Hey! The train ran !really good news for us.But I am guessing that who ever wanted to leave today didn't get to. We arrived 3 hours late.The track seems extra bumpy and the train only moved about 20 - 25 mph. Thru most of the  night.this morning we got to smoother tracks , then the train sped up to high speed and we made  some time.we are back in the same hotel we used before .
