While we were in Singapore we were quite rushed and didn't have an awful lot of time to do everything but we fitted in as much as we could.Without realizing it we stayed in a place called little India which was a blast from the past!! It was a nice hostel though and we filled our time with site seeing and hanging out with a couple we had met previously on the bus from Thailand. The highlight of the trip has to be the night Safari.I really enjoyed it and we saw lots of animals. The only annoying thing was it wasn't possible to take many photos as the park doesn't allow you to use a flash as it may upset the animals and so taking photos in the dark was quite difficult!! What was a little alarming was the train ride through the park.It went through the enclosures where the animals where kept pretty much under the spotlights for your viewing. This was great for the deer and flamingos and other 'non man eating' animals. But when your traveling through an enclosure with no fences and 3 lions just a little way from the side of the train…I doubt it would have taken them more than 30 seconds to reach us.But we saw hippopotamus's (sorry about the spelling) and I've never seen them before so that was cool. Our last day was rather boring as we only had enough money for a taxi to the airport and a little food.So we sat about reading and waiting to leave at 5 for the airport. We luckily shared a taxi with our friends and shared a quick coffee before saying good bye and boarding our flight to Australia.I can honestly say I will miss Asia and I know Thomas loved Thailand and would come back again.I think we have some fantastic memories to treasure and have definitely ticked off a few places that we wanted to visit!!
