Today was another travelling day. We got up relatively early to get a head start on packing. It was already quite hot at nine o clock but we managed to break our packing - up record at one hour five minutes!! The drive was about four hours long up the coast then over the Pyrenees then finally dropping down into the low hills in the Pyrenees where our campsite is. We set up swiftly and had risotto for tea.

No more moaning about rain you notice? What a sweltering night!! Got up in our 'fun packed' camp site. Got the sites own bus to central Barcelona. The Spanish 'red coats' told us about the 'Mr and Mrs' evening entertainment; think we'll give it a miss. Then to the Sagrada Familia; the Gaudi inspired cathedral in Barcelona. Today was our first day in Barcelona. After familiarising with our campsite last night, we decided to use the campsite bus and the train to get into Barcelona. In Barcelona, we firstly got the tourist bus to the Nou Camp, the stadium of FC Barcelona, and we did a tour of the stadium. Today was spent at the lake in Haut Languedoc. We found a sloping rock into the water to set up camp amongst the orange arid rocks. I went windsurfing (a very enjoyable experience but tricky to get back to camp!!) and Rory, Mum and Dad went swimming. The water was warm and whilst Rory was swimming he saw an eel!
