Hello Again,
Sorry it has been soo long since my last blog but I've been so busy having lots of fun :) I hope you have been too!
Althought I was in Lagos 3 weeks ago, better late than never!
So From Seville I caught a cheap bus ride to Lagos, which is on the algarvea coast on the south of Portugal. Lagos has a big reputation for being a bit of a party town and being over run by Aussies :P
The town is very nice full of old white houses and buildings, very much like the ones you see in the greek islands. The coast line is beauitful made up of limestone cliffs and white sandy beaches, the water is very refreshing perfect for waking up and those awful hangovers :P
I stayed at the number 1 party hostel in lagos called the rising c*** lol. This hostel was run by an old couple called moma and pappa. It felt more like a chilled out beach house more than anything! The hostel is full of Aussies all year round and when i was staying there everybody was Aussie exepct these 3 American Guys!
The way to do Lagos is you chill/sleep on the beach all day then you get s***faced and bar hop all night! During the day the town is full of old tourists and familys but come night time it is very much the opposite! On my first night I got wayy too drunk before I even left the hostel I had drunk half a Litre of Vodka then after that all I remember is drinking 4 jagerbombs in about 5 mins then there was 3 hours of that night where I dont remember s***. In the morning moma cooks these really tasty crepes and her 'magic tea' so that works wonders for the hangovers!
Another thing I realy liked was the Whytes Bar for obvious reasons :P
Even all the bars have aussies working in them, its a challange to find a bar where a local protugase works :P You can get really cheap drink deals like some place have shots for 1.5 E and usually have ever lasting happy hours that includes a free a shot or 2 with every pint! Plus its sik that the guys and girls that work in the bars will often do a few rounds of shots with you. If only it was like that back home. Its all so laidback and casual over here in Europe we are all so strict critically back home :(
In total I stayed in lagos for 4 nights which is a good amount of time. Sorry if this is a bit messy but im trying to type it quickly. Lagos is a must if you ever make the trek to Portugal! I will upload photos soon hopefully.
Until then,
Stay Safe and talk to you soon.
Cheeers,
Whytie
