Hey Everyone!

This is the first of hopefully many blog entries over the next 7 months. My first stop of the trip was in the German city of Frankfurt, which is one of the main transport hubs in Europe I arrived at 6 am, after a long flight on Etihad. Which is a really nice Airline! I got picked up at the airport by this local called Jenś he was a really nice guy and i stayed at his house for 2 nights. The first few days were a bit of shock and it took awhile to get used too life on the road. It was such a relief to escape Canberra´s s***ty Winter and arrive to a European Sumemr (:. My first day in Europe was a good day, slept till lunch time then walked to the local supermarket to buy some local cuisine for lunch. When the afternoon arrived Jens took me into the city to explore. The city of Frankfurt is quite nice and has some old German buildings and churches but it seemed to be packed with massive skyscrapers and office workes. This is because Frankfurt is apparntly the business hub of Europe aswell. I also learnt that some German girls are very open about their sexuality in public :P The Germans love their football and all over the city in bars and restaraunts they had massive flat screen TVś which had the world cup on everyday. The city was very clean but it reminded me a bit of Melbourne so I´m glad i only spent 2 nights in Frankfurt. I left Frankfurt at 3am Wednesday morning as I had to get the bus to the airport for a early flight to Barcelona! I´m excited to be heading to Spain and I will be updating my blog after a few days expoling Barcelona.
