The night-kayaking was ace! There were some scary moments and I think I got stuck on every rock there was in the river - but it was great! I also won a pizza-eating competition before we set-off (15 slices!) but I don't think that was the best idea - I nearly sank! Here we are in Byron Bay then. We arrived late in the afternoon and checked into the Holiday Village Hostel. It has a pool and is over-run with Irish people celebrating St Pats Day by throwing themselves off the roof into the water and other bits of nonsense. New bus, new driver, new group etc etc etc. We set-off from Byron to Nimbin - dubbed the Amsterdam of Oz apparently. Cannabis isn't legal here but it's as good as.
