Our visit to Åndalsnes was quite similar to that of Flåm: a spectacularly scenic train ride dropping us at the end of another of Norway's picturesque fjords. Excess in hiking ensured again too - this time Sjane needed to be coaxed into returning back to the township. The mountain (Romsdalseggen) always seemed to offer one more peak a little further along, and another breathtaking viewpoint from which to admire the region's beauty.

It was at the windy peak of this Romsdalseggen hike that we came to a realisation and is the focus of this blog. It's about one of the entertaining quirks that we notice on the road. It's about the jokes and stories we share and want to remember when we're old and senile. It's about bad hair.

Over the course of the past few months we've slowly noticed that Sjane's hair often has a mind of its own. Every now and then we'll scroll through our photos and find a shot of Sjane's hair misbehaving so spectacularly that we are reduced to giddy laughter. There can be 4 or 5 photos all together, and all of a sudden - BAM! The middle one looks like Sjane was electrocuted momentarily.

Now of course without any time or reason to pretty ourselves up every day, we both have days when we're not looking all that flash. These photos of Sjane's miraculous misbehaving hair are so fantastic, that we decided to compile them during our travels and share them at the end of the year. Something to look forward to. In the meantime you'll have to be satisfied with some lovely shots of the Romsdal region taken from a mountaintop overlooking Åndalsnes. I hope that'll do in the meantime.
