Moreover, it was in fact a member of the Rose family who is guilty of sending their plane tickets back to the UK. Fair play to Steph, falls for the cement mixer every time - when will he learn? Hope it was a good night anyhow. Finally we're all very sorry to hear that Larry 'standard' Hewer had a miserable flight home, not quite as miserable as our 3weeks in his company though!

Alright guys - just letting you know that everything is pretty STANDARD back in England. Old won the cricket and Becky and I had to carry Steph back from the pub after his 21st birthday celebrations! And yes, he was sick all over the table in the pub - I think it might have been the Baileys and lime again but I'm not sure! Jon you'll be pleased to know he's sleeping it off in your bed! Got to watch Sin City and The Interpreter on the plane ride back so was well chuffed - Larry slept or was feeling sick for most of it! Got to go now cos some ejit sent their plane tickets home by mistake - nice one Jack!

Just messing about on the internet and thought I would have a look at your website whilst I was at it. Great pictures - although think I agree with Rachel about the beard! Any hints or tips on where to stay or even better where to avoid in Oz would be greatly welcomed. Probably head into Cairns at the end of August/beginning of September so give us a shout if you will be about then and don't worry I have been practising my cocktail making skills!

May i just say that Larry told me he thoroughly enjoyed the evening we spent together, so dont pat any attention to his comments earlier! Beza - I ended up paying loads more than i thought id have to (injections, malaria tablets, clothes other essentials etc). You'll probably have to fork out more cash on other unexpected items before you leave the UK. As to once your out there, i based my budget on a grand a month but that went straight out the window when we hit NZ (but then again you wont be on a lions tour). If you wanna do loads of special activities it'll obviously bump the cost up. Not much in it for me between OZ & NZ - both expensive & you'll definately spend most of your money there. Just try to get as much money as you physically can get your hands on mate cos it'll all be worth it and i guarantee you'll be able to spend it all- It would help if you have an arrangement with parents if possible to get you out of any emergencies.

neil- bring as much money as poss, it is expensive even if you do everything on the cheap. but dont worry to much, cus its well worth doing. be prepared to get a gut tho! havent got close to doing exercise in over 2 months! due bk on sep 30th. wud love to travel longer but running out of money, so unless i work will be home then.

How do boys? Jack- im tryin to work out my finances for the big trip, how much have u taken with u and do u think uve got enough? Im gettin a little concernrd now as the visas, insurance etc are costin more than what i first expected! Hopefully b seein u in a few months anyway! Row how u doin big man? Oz is awesome cheers Steph, as for the rumours. I shared a bed with Jack for one night and one night only as i drew the short straw and had no option but to sleep in the bed with him, even tho the floor looked a better option at the time i went for comfort. I am now scared for life and are unable to sleep due to the experience. Rachel i feel really sorry for you!!!

Currently in Byron Bay and the views, beaches and everything else is quality. Off to Surfers Paradise today so that should be good, more beaches, sun, beer etc.
