I spent some time not that long ago entering in our 'trip plan' in to this blog program as I wanted to get a visual of our planned itinerary - Whilst we are lucky that there are only a handful of 'must meet' dates along the way, me being me, I needed to have it jotted down so that I could see where we were going. The nitty gritty side of things is now upon us. Both Anth & I are now both starting to look towards tidying things up at work in preparation for two months away. To complicate things a little further my employer is now relocating whilst I'm away and I have to confess to feeling a little bit bad that I wont be here to help. That being said, this means that I'm now doing double duty in making sure that I have done everything I can to help before we depart. So...

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, the van was booked in for a service with a caravan place but having spoken with our very versatile mechanic we have decided instead to have him look at the wheels, electrics test the gas lines and also co ordinate new shoes for Corrie (unofficial nickname for the van - still pending family vote) It's amazing how much the word 'caravan' seems to impact on pricing of things, much like the word 'wedding'. The countdown continues as do the cooking experiments and prep work. Although dinner last night was casserole done in the slow cooker I feel sure that I could convert this to be a pressure cooker recipe without too much hassle. The van has been booked in to have a once over and some new shoes and will also be getting 'inked' so to speak with a sticker identifying us and a uhf channel.
