A couple of hours drive today after a very pleasant early morning run for me and a sleep in for the rest of the crew. Zero degrees Celsius!The drive was only broken by a quick side trip through a walled community very reminiscent of the street in Desperate Housewives (No scantily clad women to be seen...) and we then watched the road go from single lane in need of maintenance up to cloverleaf flyovers with multiple layers of roads all over the place. After a lazy pack up we hit the road via the local Kmart, so we could get some snow boots. We emerged from there appropriately clad, but also with an inappropriate passenger. Buddy, the two foot Xmas Elf who will stand alongside our Santa collected in England - an expensive way to collect Xmas decorations for sure. For now he's riding shotgun in the front seat.The drive took us through magnificent mountainous scenery again. Different to the desert and barren flat...

Checked out from Ti after a brief bit of gambling. Managed to double our money and then plough it all back in! I hope they spend that $1 wisely! Back to the laundromat for another batch of washing, then started the journey through Death Valley. Just to make sure that we didn't die of starvation, we grapped Wendy's for lunch (Burgers etc). Very professional looking mob, with an amazing hanger - full of disco lighting, pool (and other) tables and a rather expansive bar. Very Vegas! The flight out to the Canyon in a shiny new 10 seater plane was perfectly smooth, then we joined the throngs ready to be ferried down to the canyob floor ...

A jog for me up and down the strip, a sleep in for the girls and a tourist wander punctuated by shopp....... zzzz.... shopping. the hotels are amazing. Caesars palace is just so huge! lots of roman street scenes with false skies - but these were a convincing early evening light. arcade after arcade, shop after sh..... zzzzzz Great statues, buildings, fountains etc we then booked our flight to the canyon then went for a late lunch 'eat to the death' buffet.
