wow! The holiday gods have really smiled on us!
The train journey was great. Finished at sunset after a less than traumatic customs transit... then out into the rain outside the terminal without any shelter...... but there was a taxi with just enough space for 5 passengers and 6 cases! Freaky!
Our brief taxi ride to the hotel passed Niagara ( for those paying attention looking through the frosty glass) and out checkin was slightly delayed... as they upgraded us to a King Suite!
So far this is the largest accomm we've had - with a foyer, Queen Bed in one room and King in another- plus perfect views overlooking Niagara! Mesmerizing.
We were starved after the long train ride so grabbed a meal 'deal' through the hotel for a local 'singing waitresses' restaurant. Amazing food (1 inch slow cooked steak) and excellent singing waitress. Snow arrived during our meal, so the kids were keen to get outside as soon as the food was gobbled.
We stood outside waiting for our bus transfer back to the hotel, wnd the girls attempted to catch as much snow as possible in their mouths. Fun!
Overnight the snow fell, so we would have a light blanket in the morning.
