This morning was great. After breakfast Kylie and I took the kids for a walk through the main drag of Winton whilst the boys packed up the campers. All of the bins in the Main Street where inside big dinosaur feet which the kids thought were very cool.
We had photos with Banjo Paterson's statue in front of the lyrics to Waltzing Matilda as this is where he wrote the song.
We got on the road an hour earlier than the day before so we're improving. Have been doing Sean's speech program in the car and Ben has been doing his school work. Kids have been traveling well, good sleeping too.
We pulled up for lunch at Boulia and gave the kids a run. Passed through some beautiful landscapes.
Just out of Boulia we hit our first dirt road, the Plenty Highway which was fairly rough. A lot more Barron from Boulia to the border.
Well we made it to the Northern Territory!!! Parked up at 4 at Tobermorey station. Was really nice big lawn area with heaps of shade.
Kids enjoyed looking at the animals they had roaming around, sheep, calves and even a donkey. They played for ages on an old steam tractor. Then they got to watch a helicopter come back in from mustering.
Had our first BBQ of the trip which was awesome, and I finally got a cold wine YAY!!
Zane got to have a play in his new play pen. Thank god we've got that as he's been trying to eat every rock and leaf as soon as he is on the ground.
