So I'm a common theif!!! I accidentally of course walked away last time I was updating my blog without paying. In my defence I wasn't the only one, and when I tried to go back to pay, the receptionist didn't understand what I was talking about. Luckily I won't make the same mistake here, cause internet is free.
So since the last time - we took a day train to Hoi An, where I spent way way too much money on getting clothes tailor made. Picked up a new silk dress, with matching bag (obviously) a lovely new skirt, and a chinese style purple top. I in comparison to everyone else, got absolutly nothing, so god knows how heavy their bags are now lol.
Apart from a lantern festival and shopping there wasn't that much to do in the place, although the tailor women loved our business. I did however partake in a cooking class, and the food I cooked was edible, although not sure i'd want to attempt to make them again back home, although dad - feel free.
Also went to My Som, and the tour guide we took was awful. I didn't understand a word he said, neither did most people though, and he rushed round it as if it was the last place on earth that he wanted to be. Despite this it was pretty and i'm looking forward to going to Cambodia and their ruins when I get there.
We then took a bus to Nha Trang, our accomodation there was nice, and they organised a boat trip for us, however I decided to decline this, due to the lunch being included. Me and boats don't do to well, especially when food is included. Instead Mez and I went to a sitting buddha, however this looked very similar to the sitting buddha in Hong Kong, but was free so I can't complain. We also went to a musuem, but not sure I took to much of that in since I can't really tell you much about it, something to do with a French man who went to Nha Trang and discovered the cure and vaccine for the plague.
Drinking!!!! my malaria tablets have been making me rather sick at night, so I was rather well behaved, which isn't like me, but others were rather rat arsed, so funny. To cure the hangovers we went for a mudbath, it wasn't what I expected, the mud was runny and cold, but the swimming pool was hot!!! had a really relaxing day there, and was only 100 dong so within my budget.
Once again was on the road, this time a night train to Saigon or Ho Chi Minh to give this place its correct title.Arrived really early this morning, and all we really wanted was to go to bed, but we couldn't get checked in, so we got a bus to the tunnels, which was defo worth it, even though I was exhausted. We went into one of the tunnels, although this one was made for tourists, bigger and wider as westeners are much larger than vietnamese. Would hate to have to have spent the years down there like they did. Out for some well deserved noodles for lunch and nap time. We lose some of the people that we are travelling with in the next few days are they are not coming to Cambodia, so going out for dinner tonight to say goodbye. Then off to Cambodia on Sunday, or that is the plan anyway.
Til then
