So Christmas is nearly upon us, and my classes have gone into full xmas spirit. No more books, just lots of different activities depending on the age of the students, taboo and Twas the night before christmas for the older ones, and making santas with moving arms for the kids, although I think secretly the adults want to make the santas too.
Many of my classes have been canceled this week, I haven't had my germaine class, and my Aitex classes finished up on Tuesday, so no more early starts :) I've had extra work to do though, as many of my students wanted a parents evening with me, just to meet me, and to check on the progress of their kids. Most parents were really nice, as were their children, and all wanted to know how to encourage their child at home, which is always good. It was slightly odd though as I required a translator for most of my interviews, on the plus side, anytime I said anything bad, it wasn't really me, it was Jenny or Lorna lol.
Outwith my classes . . . I went back to Valencia a couple of weekends ago to try and do a bit of xmas shopping. I bought absolutly nothing so that idea went out the window rather quicklly. Went out on the Friday night with Javi and a few of his friends, which was nice and drunken. And the saturday was spent feeling sorry for myself whilst eating a lovely spitroast at Sean's.
We (Jenny and I) had our own xmas dinner, in which we catered for 8 ppl, it was a complete success (if you forget about the yorkshire pudding). This was really all thanks to Jenny . . . I made the stuffing to go with everything else, however I also tested all the wine - its a really important job
We also had an xmas dinner with everyone at work, which was spanish tapas, and lots and lots of wine . . . somehoe this blog has just become about how much I have drunk over the last few weeks, I did have sober nights just in case anyone is wondering.
Oh like I went to a spanish guitar concert in Alcoy, which was really good, and Jenny and I went shopping one Friday, however we did end up buying more things for ourselves than for the people we had intended on buying for, this is always the case I think :S
Anyway . . . I leave for Scotland on the 23/24th and fingers crossed for no snow to distrupt any of my flights, or anyone else who is trying to fly home for Christmas.
Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year when it arrives
