Hello from Shanghai!

Today has been mostly spent on a coach as we left Hangzhou this morning. We arrived at Wuzhen water village at lunchtime and had most of the afternoon to explore. Its hard to explain what the village is like without showing some photos but it's kinda like a mini venice but with wooden houses. Its mainly a tourist attraction now but there is still village life there. We walked through the village, cobbled street and you can see people crafting, playing chinese dominoes - day to day life. Was weird looking into their houses but they are used to it and I suppose it brings money to the village. We took a boat (like a gondola with a roof) and the driver kept taking the mickey out of Gails laugh. It was nice to see how they live.

Back on the coach and onward to Shanghai. The driver got lost so we actually passed the skyline then he realised about half hour later that we were lost so had to stop and ask for directions. Got to the hotel about an hour later than we should.

Marcia took us for dinner - again huge load of food and stuffed with rice etc. Took a walk to the Bund to view the skyline lightshow and had a fantastic view of all the skyscrapers, pearl tower and JinMao Tower - sooo high!

Tomorrow is a free day so we plan to walk the French concession and do our own things before meeting the group for our final dinner. Will be sad to say goodbye to everyone.
