Today is the coolest so far with a predicted maximum of 13 degrees, but even though it is raining on and off, it has not detracted one little bit. This morning we were cruising and went through the last couple of locks on the Main before entering the Rhine - this was a big change - big river with lots of bigger cargo vessels. After lunch we docked next to another cruise boat and walked through it into Rudesheim where we were taken by a wheeled 'train' to Siegfried's Musical Cabinet Museum. We bought a couple of momentos before walking back to the ship. There seemed to be a fair in town (it being a Sunday) with lots of people in the town square.
Then in the afternoon we hit the Rhine Gorge - wow! Most impressive scenery with the river being at its narrowest, still lots of water traffic, rail and road tunnels everywhere, WWII relics and vineyards perched on almost cliff like faces. We ended the day with a good value entertainer after dinner and squeezed in a couple of dances before bed - whew!
