Spoke to Tom Arnott today (Fife are manager - just incase you were getting out of touch with the real world)... I reckon you've got a chance of getting a few regular locum stints when (if) you get back.
How does manager of Cowdenbeath sound?
Factoid: Lochgelly house prices are the cheapest in Scotland.
Hmmmm don't it sound tempting?
The Masked Badger
And here are the Lyrics - A band called Bennet if you can remember them? (god knows I do.... my head is bleeding)
More food mama
Give us more food mama
Give us prawn ring mama
Give us anything mama
Thank God
My Mum has gone to Iceland
More cash dadda
Give her more cash dadda
Be a bit flash dadda
Give here more cash, more
Thank God
My Mum has gone to Iceland
And we don't have the dough
As the ad men well know
Got no concept of your bad cash flow
And if that ain't enough
Just as life gets more tough
They bring out a new game for my Nintendo
My head's popping
TV window shopping
And there ain't no stopping
With that ice cream topping
Thank God
My Mum has gone to Iceland
We want mama
What you can't afford mama
And the TV pressure's
Aimed at your little treasures
Thank God
My mum has gone to Iceland
Bleedy daddy dry
Watch my mummy cry
And I can't stop wanting
No matter how I try
Thank God
My mum has gone to Iceland
The Wandering Hedgehog
You're going to Iceland?
Mum? Is that you?
The Masked Badger
Why am I doing this at 1.15am?
I need sleep - Still, hey big Al just had to say... I'm going to Iceland in March!
Giggity Giggity ooooooh yeah!
The Masked Badger
I am now officially the only person to visit your website.
Jeremy only visited recently on my recommendation.
All the wierd(sic) pseudonyms are me - as if you didn't know.
And it was I who rated your most recent journal entry, giving it 3 stars.
Awwww. does somebody need a hug?
I think you might be suffering from that middle stoat child complex
NOW HEDGEHOG I challenge you to get into Roswell area 53! (With or without getting shot.. your choice)
You know 53? The one with the experimental government Hedgehog elimination taskforce!
Or GHETs as we Badgers call them, in the trade.
Auds
Hey If I'm going to post some messages on this board I'm going to have to come up with a different name, nay suggestions Al, now nice ones hey!!!!!! I'm going to see Scotland and Australia playing rugby on the 25th Nov. Scotland seems to be playing okay at the moment so fingers crossed and everything else for that matter. Is the Wondering Hedgehog still returning on the 17 Dec? Just to let you know d*** Pyper is leaving Lloyds on the 2nd Dec and there is a dinner thing at Pettycur Bay for him which I stupidly will be attending don't know if I am going to be way out of my league but hey. He is going to work for Robertsons I think in Lochgelly, they have opened up a new shop and paying alot more oh surprise surprise!! Everytime I talk to d*** he always asks after you and sends his regards. Anyway got to go Bye for now
The Wandering Hedgehog
Ah yes, the rugby...
I was actually on my final day in Fiji when the Argentina-Wales match was on, and saw Wales being completely destroyed on the big screen while I ate my breakfast. I didn't see the England match, but I've heard that this is their worst losing streak ever - seven internationals in a row, including (of course) losing to Scotland in the Six Nations.
And an even more belated happy birthday to you! I'm even worse than usual for remembering peoples' birthdays, and I'm normally pretty bad. Happy birthdays to Andrew, Jeremy, Sarah, Simon, Sarah, and everyone else I've forgotten over the last few months.
Andrew Benjamin
Hi Alasdair
Firstly a belated Happy birthday. Wow, what a holiday you are having!
I am enjoying reading your journal entries. You have summed up LA succinctly.
The Ashes are about to start soon here and there is lots of friendly rivalry with the English. If we beat the poms on the field, I have to concede that the Barmy Army will beat us in the lyrics-very witty and funny at our expense of course.
I guess you won't receive much rugby news in the US but you will be interested to know that Argentina defeated England at Twickenham!!!
Enjoy the next part of your travels
Cheers
Andrew
The Wandering Hedgehog
mi' spell is wickid, man!
The Winking Stoat
Thanks for the spelling lesson.
I am just thankful that at least one person read it.
But maybe I deliberately mispelled vitreol...
And there is a prize for spotting the deliberate spelling error above.
The Wandering Hedgehog
... although I've just searched for the top journals with regard to "number of site hits" and there are a bunch of people with over 33000. I guess I'm not as widely read as those muppets.
P.S. what exactly is "vitreol", is it related to vitriol?
The Wandering Hedgehog
Congratulations on the ACT, Auds, nice work (if you can get it anywhere in the world, and all that...)
Nice of you to keep the stoat and the badger company on the message board as well. Incidentally, this journal has now had 9266 hits. I still don't know who the hell is reading it.
Time to leave Fiji tomorrow, but I've bought a kava bowl to bring back and hold my own kava ceremonies at home. Kavatime!
