Having had quite a few days of driving we both felt it was time to have a few days off and just find a nice campsite somewhere to relax. We chose The Beachcomber Coconut Bay Resort in Mission Beach and it was absolutely amazing. Beautiful quiet location at the beachfront and as well as offering powered sites they also had a number of cabins and villas. All the facilities were well maintained and to top it all of they had a great swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers one of which already had my name on it!So the next few days were spent relaxing by the pool during the day and then if we could muster the energy maybe a walk along the beach in the evenings! We had lots of BBQ's, drank plenty of beer and wine, read lots of our books and generally just chilled out, it was bliss and a real taster of hopefully plenty more days like these to come! Speaking of being relaxed it was at Mission Beach that for the first time since leaving home we completely lost a day! Being that every day is a holiday for us both it is pretty normal for us to never know the time as neither of us has a watch, we often don't know the date as we never have anywhere we need to be however we have always been able to keep track of the days. Imagine the hilarity that unfolded when we both discovered that for a good 5 days we had been on the wrong day and it wasn't until Thursday that we checked Mikes mobile only to discover that it was Friday and we had been a day out for god knows how long!! I am afraid none of this makes for very exciting reading but at least it keeps everyone up to day on whatever beach we are sunning ourselves on next!
