The mindless bureaucracy of the state, coupled with the utter ineptitude of my former employers, has forced me out into the world at large. So armed with an optimistic enthusiasm and a natural sense of direction im making a break for Laos. From there it is my intention to travel the length of the country and enter Cambodia. After much faffing about i shall then cross into Vietnam and wander up the coast and back into China in good time to start my new job... Tomorrow I head to Yunna…

Tomorrow I head to Yunnan province, where it is my intention to go to Dali, Shangrila, Kunming, Ligiang, and anything else that takes my fancy (not necessarily in that order). I'll only have a week before my visa expires so it'll be a bit of a dash... I'm not entirely sure how you get into Laos, but the general consensus seems to be that I can get me passport stamped at the border if I give them some money...
