We're leaving this one to the boys as they worked really hard on their presentation - which we can't show as a slide show (see in the photo albums - the boys captions are by the pictures!) - but hopefully you get the feel. The fascinating 'grown up' side was talking to the head teacher - a committed man, proud of his school but battling against financial hardship and high demand. He filled us in on the education system - inspections, raising standards, the lack of funds (the government has had to spend the money they had put aside for schools on food aid as the displacement of so many people last January meant that crops weren't planted in time for the rains so there is a huge food shortage). He bemoaned bad government planning and corruption. He's a man who carries a great weight on his shoulders and clearly tries his utmost for the pupils, but what a battle.
