So we have said goodby to lovely Laos for now, and head across the river to Thailand,a 2 yhour public bus journey lands us in Chiang Rai, bvit with no spare time we headed on a flight down to Bangkok.
We decided that rather than try and see Bangkok in a few hours, we would hang around our pool and the Kho san Road Backpaker area. this was very relaxing after the last few weeks and we did also manage to squeeze in a Cycling tour of the Bangkok green area. This was awesome - we went from the heart of the city to the green farming belt in the city. We didn't think it was possible, but we actually couldn't hear and car horns honking, and there was no one trying to sell us anything!! A lovely if very hot day was spent trundling around, through very poor shanty towns, and along crazy metre wide bridges with no sides, and we saw that side of Bangkok that others probably miss. Nxt we're heading back to blighty forPaul & Bex wedding - and the cold and wet of Manchester!!!
