Monday 8th March 2004 Had an early start to head to Sydney today, we were both quite excited abut getting there! Began with a 1km walk up Tomaree Head in Nelson Bay to a fantastic viewpoint, then onto Newcastle for lunch on the port and a wander around town. We came into Sydney across the Harbour Bridge to the rather interesting area of Kings Cross where we are staying. Adult sex shops galore, prostitutes EVERYWHERE - nice! Our hostel is nice though. Tuesday 9th March 2004 Booked our trip to the Blue Mountains and then began our walk around Sydney. Saw the sights of Parliament House, the Cathedral, Hyde Park (where we had a nice lunch) and then made our way through the Botanical Gardens down to the Harbour. WOW the Bridge and Opera House looked phenomenal, particularly with the gorgeous sunshine. We got very camara happy, had a wander around The Rocks and Circular Quay etc In the evening we headed back down to the harbour to see a film called \\\'21 Grams\\\' (we highly recommend it - excellent) and got camara happy once again at the harbour by night! We walked about 10km + today - goddam! Wednesday 10th March 2004 Pretty gloomy today so we decided to hit the Art Gallery of NSW which was great and then the shops, bought some souvenirs etc Free BBQ tonight at our hostel so it\\\'ll be troughin a plenty!
