So things have not been going as planned today. I started by going to the national museum. It was closed for renovations. Then I cabbed to the art museum. I should have suspected something when the cabbie dropped me half a block from it. It was closed for renovations. At least the educational cafe and park section were open so I checked those out. At that point I was already reasonably close to the historic centre so I walked the rest of the way and filled in some sites I missed. The monetary where the 3 saints are buried. Including the first saint from the Americas. After that I tried a churro for 1 sole. About $.40. It was alright. I won't be searching them out in the future but essentially it was a crunchy donut with a caramel filling. Good but not outstanding.

Now I'm in the city wall park. Just having a seat and checking out and the city wall ruin. Also I'm looking up at the hill that looks over the city. Basically debating if it is worth the 5 soles and the trip through the bad barrios of view the city from a higher vantage point. I'm leaning towards no but I'm also running out of things to do.
