Wednesday 13th February 2019 - Today on the way to St Helens we visited:
Freycinet National Park that consists of three granite peaks the Hazards, eucalypt forest & sandy beaches & pristine water and Mt Graham & Mt Freycinet joined by a sand isthmus. We make the climb up to a lookout that gives stunning views over Wineglass Bay with its sweeping white sandy beach and turquoise water. We then follow the track that winds through eucalypt forest down to Wineglass beach and walk along the fine sand to a rocky outcrop of rocks and sit a while taking in this lovely scene.
Cape Tourville Lighthouse where we walked through the bush coming to a boardwalk that wove in a loop around the end of the cape that gave spectacular views of Carp Bay & Sleepy Bay separated by a granite point giving you a glimpse into Wineglass bay with Mt Graham & Mt Freycinet beyond.
Honeymoon Bay a beautiful bay within a bay with rising rocky slopes to either side and white sandy beach.
Sleepy Bay lookout with a rough coastal track skirting the cliff edge that leads down to Little Gravelly beach with giant boulders perched upon the sloping rocky outcrops that surrounded this beautiful beach that was one of our favourites.
