Chitwan National Park After rafting we went with bus to Chitwan National Park- one of the "must see" places in Nepal. Chitwan was established in 1973 as the first national park, and granted status as a World Heritage Site in 1984. There are more than 700 animal species in the park and an unknown number of butterflies, moths and insects. There are elephants, rinos, tigers and crocodiles (gharials and mugger). Rafting on Seti River After we had been to Pokhara, we went on a short 3 days rafting trip on Seti River (categori 3+). Seti River is, compared to Trisuli River where most people raft, a warm rivers as it had two sections upstreams where is runs underground. The first section starts in Pokhara, where it at Devi's falls dived in a large cave. During our days in Pokhara, we saw the fall and cave. Pokhara is, compared to Kathmandu, a very green city. There as large trees along the roads, and many flowers at hotels and restaurants. It is also located a bit lower in altitude than Kathmandu, so the weather was nice and warm. At Pokhara we visited the SOS Childrens Village. The village was established in 1975 for helping Tibetan refugee children, and today they have 12 houses with each 5 boys and 5 girls in. Besides this, they have a school and help around 95...

We are now in Pokhara, where we will spend a few day. We will visit the SOS Childrens village (which we are one of many sponsors of), visit a friends sponsor child in a Tibetan refugee camp, and otherwise have fun and relax! After this, we will go for a 3 day rafting trip of Seti River, were we will also try kayaking :0) On our way back to Kathmandu, we will spend a few days in Chitwan National Park, and finally see elephants!
