Well after a couple of very busy months, during which we fully painted the inside of our house and recarpeted, we were finally packed and ready to go. Our first stop was Yamba where our Caravan Club "True Blue" was holding the monthly week-long Rally. On arrival we discovered that we had no power at all to the van, so a local electrician was called who after isolating every switch in the van discovered it to be the one in the enuite. Only then did Warren realize that he may have shorted out the van when rescrewing the back panel on after replacing the taillights. There's never a dull moment when you own a van. The rest of our week went smoothly enough with the different daily activities to keep us all busy and the traditional disc bowls at happy hour. The stiff competition and heckling between the boys is always entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The prawns fresh from the farm were the best I've ever tasted (not being a prawn lover) so we made the most of it while we were there. We had a great week as usual with our mates, lots of fun and laughter, and to make it even more special Chris, Rob and our darling granddaughter Emily came down for the weekend in their new caravan to spend some time with us before we left on our trip up the centre of Oz via Geelong. We had a lovely time with the family even though the weather was not the greatest during their stay but we certainly made the most of it when the sun was shining. Chris & Rob left Monday morning to return to work and we packed up and left Yamba on Wednesday after saying goodbye to our mates.
