Jungle Paradise So there we were back on the bus again, this time though we had a front seat and a fab view. We watched out of the window as the scenery changed dramatically from dusty deserts to green jungles and rain forest. The temperature changed also and as we got off the bus at 7am it was really hot and humid. A tale of two cities... Salta was a more westernised type of place.. Etam, mobile phone shops and hundreds of chemists and shoe shops?? Not sure why but there seemed to be a need for these shops more than any other shop. Maybe they have a lot of ill fitting shoes and due to the heat they get swollen and buniony feet and therefore need a lot of chemists??.. What a ..*%!!~*! day!!! Tupiza was lovely and the horse riding was the highlight. Our hostel was lovely too, it had a pool which was most welcome and soothing after five hours in the saddle! We spent five days chillin out and exploring this dusty but beautiful canyon town then decided to head for the border into Argentina.
