We have finally made it home after a wonderful five months away. Our last real day of the holiday (Day 141) proved to be one of the highlights of the trip. We took Kev up on the offer of a day out on his Catamaran and left the Cairns Yacht Club at 730am heading out to Fitzroy Island. The last two weeks have been rather slow paced compared to the rest of the trip, though funnily enough we don't feel that rested! We are all feeling like the time is right to head for home..... Day 140 today and it's starting to show ! We left you last about to depart Cairns on our road to nowhere. We packed up from Cairns Coconut (again) on Day 127 and headed north via the coast road. Well our trip took an unexpected turn this week, when instead of continuing south to Nambour we did a u-turn and headed back up north to Cairns ! We managed to make it as far south as Hervey Bay and Fraser Island, but with overnight temperatures of just 6 degrees, there was no way we were going any further. So last Friday I made a phone call to the lady who we organised Marks drug through, and by Monday lunchtime we had the Nambour and Wollongong dose...

We have had another great couple of weeks across the Savannah Way and have made it safely to Cairns.
