After our amazing last night at the hostel...Eva and I decided to walk a separate route to the next town. Metya was already there....securing me a bottom bunk...YES!
It was great walking with others..but also lovely to have some alone time too, walking through lovely scenery and forests along the way and many houses with lovely flowers.
Ancora was a strange little town...and felt somehow dark as it was a seaside summer town and they many had not arrived yet and shutters were down and locked up. It was a somewhat uneventful night of trying new strategies on Eva’s blisters..and we met a lovely young man from Brazil who had a pack twice the size of him with great tunes in the morning while we were packing up to leave. Unfortunately did not get a picture.
Metya was long gone and I walked alone as again Eva was unsure of the foot situation. It was dreary windy day along the coast...almost eerie...and was supposed to rain, but did not till I got to the ferry when it LET
Loose! Luckily we had an hour wait in the terminal..long enough to meet some new Canadian friends...over lunch and beers. Natalie and I ended walking into Spain together as well as to the end of the Camino...A “Sista from anotha mutha” it was the start of some magical times and lottsa laughs
